This fantastic jeep tour to discover Albania starts right from Saranda with a visit to the historic castle of Lekursi, built in 1537 by the Ottoman Empire in a dominant position above the city to protect the entire surrounding region. Today it is a breathtaking place for photos, including beautiful views of Corfu and the Ksamil little islands.
We will continue our tour, aboard the jeeps, driving under the shade of the ancient olive trees and passing through the white beach of Borsh, one of the most beautiful beaches of Saranda.
Here, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the pristine waters of the Ionian Sea and relax on one of the most fascinating beaches of the Albanian Riviera. The Jeep excursion then proceeds to the peninsula of Porto Palermo, the only safe harbor between Saranda and Vlora. Our guides will reveal the story of its fascinating Castle, home of mysteries, power games and intrigues, was ordered by Ali Pasha Teplena as a gift to his wife Vasilliqui. Climbing to the top of the castle terrace we will admire a splendid panoramic view, perhaps among the most suggestive of the Albanian coast.
The discovery of authentic Albania continuous through gastronomy. In fact, the lunch break is scheduled in a very suggestive location where you can taste the delights of Albanian characteristic food, during a rich lunch with a fish menu in a welcoming place overlooking the sea.
The excursion does not end here; fun and wild nature are waiting for you. Through a pleasant and adventurous off-road route, we will arrive at the Blue Eye National Park in Albania. After the walk in the park we will reach the Blue Eye source, an extraordinary lagoon considered a real monument of nature, which enchants visitors from all over the world with its crystal blue waters.
We will be back in Saranda port in time for your re boarding on the afternoon ferry Saranda – Corfu.
